Quark Mixing : The CKM Picture

We review the current st,atus of the determbation of the CKM matrix elements. We explain the concept of quark mixing and describe various parametrizations of the mixing matrix. We give the ranges for the parameters as determined by direct measurements (tree-level processes), unitarity and indirect measurements (one-loop processes). We explain how schemes for mass matrices may give reMions among the CKM parameters. Finally, we overview further progress in the determination of the matrix elements which can be expected in the near future.
